Do you rememeber my plushie Giselda? So, now comes the bag to match! ^_^ I made it using some patchwork techniques, and I really love the final result. It's pretty spacious and cute to carry around!

Another plushie from the Japanese book I mentioned before, the one that unfortunately I don't have much to talk about because it's written in Japanese, lol. 

Her name is Giselda, a very common chicken name in Brazil :-P Well, not that it's a common pet... lol
I got the patterns from a Japanese book, and even though my family is Japanese, I don't know how to read or speak. I know just the basic katakana and hiragana, and some kanjis. I'm sorry I can't give more info about this book. :(

I know it's kinda creepy, but you gotta admit this one is pretty cute, isn't it? I made this one last year, when swine flu thing was at its peak, and I got pretty sick as well (but it wasn't swine flu!). Hope you enjoy!

This started out as a joke... As a teacher, I have some teenagers classes in the afternoon, and they usually make fun of emo bands and such. So every time they start whining because they don't want to do an activity, I call them emo and they stop. I first made Emmo so I could use him during my classes, but his head is not really steady, so I guess I'll have to work on this model.

Essa moda emo até que está demorando para passar...  A primeira vez que eu ouvi falar disso eu ainda estava trabalhando em outra escola, o que faz pelo menos uns 5 anos... Enfim, eu fiz primeiro o Emmo, inspirado em alguns alunos que eu tinha, mas como a cabeça dele não ficou mto estável, eu testei um segundo modelo com a Emma. Eles até que formam um casal fofinho, né?

I learned how to make these super-cute bunnies reading the Cute Book, which, as the name suggests, it's super cute. It's great not only for adults with none experience in sewing whatsoever, but also for kids and ppl with lots of crafty background as well. Their whole series is fantastic!

Hi, remember when I talked about the book Softies, by Therese Laskey? So, here are some of my versions of a design created originally by Heather Pudewa. As you can see, I LOVE tea :-) My dearest memories from childhood are all connected to the smell of tea ... ^_^

Desde criança, tomo chá. Pudera, um dos meus avôs tinha plantação de chá no interior! Pois então, lembra de quando falei do livro Softies, da Therese Laskey? Então, o molde para estes saquinhos de chá adoráveis estão no livro, e a criadora oritginal é a Heather Pudewa.

Os dois últimos não sao muito comuns no Brasil, mas se vc gosta de chá, vale a pena comprar em algum Pão de Açúcar ou loja de importados. 

Here is the green tea (blargh...), pretty similar to the original design, imho.

Esse aqui é o saquinho de chá verde (o único que eu não curto >.<), e ficou bem parecido com o do livro. 

Ainda bem que a moda pegou! Por toda São Paulo você vê o pessoal carregando EcoBags, de tudo quanto é cor e de várias estampas, e vários supermercados tb deram um incentivo, dando de brinde ou cobrando baratinho. Mas como eu queria uma personalizada, fiz essas duas aí de cima, com as orelhinhas dos coelhos pulando um pouquinho para fora ^_^ E olha que nem foi por causa da páscoa, hein? Essas aí foram feitas em maio do ano passado!
