I just love this model! The big one was made with 7.5cm squares, and the small one, 5cm squares.

Aww, haven't you missed our beloved kusudamas? This one is an old friend of ours, but here I jusr wanted to show how the same modules can be assembled in two different ways. Call it versatile!

Another MDF mini dresser, but a bit bigger this time. They are great to (try to) keey your desk organized.

I guess I've never mentioned this one is one of my favorite models, maybe the second favorite after PuuPuu's Arabesque. It's super easy to fold and assemble, and the final outlook is just superb!!!
Acho que eu ainda não tinha comentado que esse é um dos meus modelos favoritos, provavelmente o segundo, logo após do Arabesque da PuuPuu. É super fácil de fazer os módulos e super fácil de montar tb. Adorei o resultado com essas cores!!!

This is the second article I write about origami paper. Today, we’ll take a look at the model above. It’s from the same ‘family’ as the last one I posted, but instead of having a diagonal X pattern in the middle of the squares, it comes with a squiggly white square pattern.

6 colors
Single sided
The pros:
Really flashy colors for the ones who like it.
Nice variety of colors
The pattern is great and it adjusts well for pretty much any kusudama model, besides, it’s great for other models, specially flowers.
Again, the size makes the final project look delicate and intricate :)
The cons:
Although it’s nice to have 6 colors, it also means that you’ll only have 25 squares of each color. L So it means you’ll have to buy 2 boxes if you intend to make a 30-module kusudama. Or else you’ll be stuck with 6/12 module kusudamas. Well, not that I’d complain about having more paper, lol :D
Suggested models to fold in order to make the most of the pattern:
Omega star – Because you’ll just need 6 modules and the pattern looks great on the assembled model,

Curler – It’s an all time favorite, even better here because it looks neat with only 12 modules and the pattern makes different colors appear on the pointy edges of the model,
Electra – Even not being a big fan of the model as I said before, It does look great with this pattern. The inner circles get the white highlights and the pointy edges get the flashy colors.
Antes tarde do que nunca, não é mesmo? Dessa vez, vamos falar sobre o EC22K1 da Jong Ie Nara. É da mesma família do último que postei, mas esse tem um quadrado branco ondulado no meio ao invés do padrão de X.

Prós:
As cores são bem alegres e vivas.
Boa variedade de cores.
Preço bom.
O padrão da estampa é tudo de bom e se ajusta bem pra praticamente qualquer tipo de modelo de kusudama, além disso, é ótimo também para outros projetos, especialmente flores.
Mais uma vez, o tamanho faz com que o projeto final fique bem delicado e intrincado ao mesmo tempo.
Contras:
Bom, apesar de ser legal ter 6 opções de cores no pacote, isso significa que você terá 25 quadrados de cada cor, ou seja, se você gosta de fazer kusudamas com 30 módulos (assim como eu), então você será obrigado a comprar 2 pacotes (bom, não que isso seja grande problema para mim, hahaha).
Minha sugestão de modelos para vc aproveitar melhor a padronagem de cores:
Omega Star – ótimo projeto pois você só precisa de 6 módulos e a estampa fica bem legal no modelo finalizado
Curler – Sempre um favorito, fica melhor ainda porque ele é lindo mesmo com 12 módulos e a estampa faz com que as pontinhas fiquem com cores realçadas, diferente das partes mais fundas.
Electra – Mesmo não sendo muito fâ do modelo como já disse antes, ele fica super fofo com essa estampa, pois os círculos do meio ficam branquinhos e as cores vão em dégradé até as pontinhas do modelo.
Vc pode encontrar este papel na Gana Presentes, nas lojas (São Paulo) ou na loja virtual.

Her name is Giselda, a very common chicken name in Brazil :-P Well, not that it's a common pet... lol
I got the patterns from a Japanese book, and even though my family is Japanese, I don't know how to read or speak. I know just the basic katakana and hiragana, and some kanjis. I'm sorry I can't give more info about this book. :(

Gostou da Giselda? O molde é de um livro japonês super fofo, mas como sou analfabeta em japonês infelizmente não posso/consigo dar mais detalhes(bom, eu sei escrever meu nome e ler hiragana e katakana, será que isso faz de mim uma semi-semi-analfabeta?). Vou tentar arrumar meu scanner e pelo menos colocar a capa dele aqui no blog um dia desses. :-)
